Hi Subscriber First Name, As my blog will tell you - the Grand Opening of North County Yoga Therapy (my new business) was a wonderful event. People came (students, neighbors, new-to-me faces), people interacted (lots of laughter and chatter in the room), people joined in for the Ribbon Cutting by the Bonsall Chamber of Commerce (see pic below). What guests didn’t do much of was eat! Why do I care about the eating part? It means I have platters of cheese, a gallon of hummus, bags of veggies, boxes of crackers — all left over. The one thing guests did eat was the home made cookies brought by a friend (YUM!!!). Since the Grand Opening, I’ve had several inquiries through my website and through Yelp, and I have several appointments set up over the coming weeks. I believe that exceeds my projections - Yes! Speaking of Yelp, if you have experienced my teaching and would like to offer support, go to Yelp, and post a comment. I’d certainly appreciate it! And - another request - please share my presence with your friends and neighbors (assuming you’re close by). My biggest hurdle/opportunity will be creating awareness. I’ve recently learned that many Hospitals are including Yoga Therapy as part of their Integrative Medicine Departments - including the Cleveland Clinic, University of Virginia, plus several here in California. In fact, the Cleveland Clinic has a Yoga Therapist on staff who needs to hire more Yoga Therapists over the coming year. I’m not moving to Cleveland, but this is still music to my ears. ON MY END TABLE: Parkinson’s Warrior - Fighting Back and Taking Control, by James Pernisco, who was diagnosed with Parkinson’s in his early 30’s. Having come to terms with this challenge, he offers his wisdom and thoughts on feeling more in control, though he does write about good days and off-days. Inspiring read. And on the fiction side - The Queen of Palmyra, which is a slow starter but keeping my interest.
